My future Save the dates!!!

Ok, so, I have found inspiration for my save the dates!! I was on the message boards on theknot.com and found Heather from "Road to the Aisle" So, I was on her blog and found her save the dates and loved the idea (thanks Heather!) But, I am going to change it some to make it mine, I am going to do a booklet style with the magnet inside it and I will put a new poem in it. I plan on doing these in the next couple of weeks and will post pics when I have them.

Hello, everybody!!!!!

Hi, everybody my name is Stephanie and my fiance's name is Miguel. I am American, born and raised in Georgia and my fiance' is Mexican,  born in Veracruz and raised in both Monterrey and Veracruz. We have been engaged for a year now and have just really started our wedding planning. This is the part that is driving me crazy!!!
We are trying to make our wedding my dream wedding while incorporating my fiance's culture and both of our styles. We are on a very strict budget, we have to keep it under $9000 but, don't really want to spend more than $5000. So, we are going to barter for our wedding. Miguel paints and remodels homes and hotels, I have cleaned residential and commercial forever and I'm also bilingual. So, we are trading any of these services for any or all (hopefully) of our wedding services. We have our wedding planner, Sara from Little Girl's Big Dream, www.littlegirlsbigdream.com she is the best!!! She took my love of bling and black and mixed it with Miguel's love of light colors. We are now having a Breakfast at Tiffany's themed wedding but, are using different shades of blue and turquoise. We are having a bilingual ceremony and integrating the lasso and the arras. Well, my first DIY project will be the save the dates. The date is officially March 26, 2011.

We advertised on Craigslist for bartering services and received offers from many different  vendors, yes, some were trying to take advantage but, alot were legit and really wanted to help. We now have to vendors from the craigslist announcement.

Our first bartering experience has went great, we bartered with our photographer, her name is Katie Hardin, she is located in Lawrenceville. Her website is www.fireflyflashbacks.com We painted her living room, small foyer, and hallway.  In return, she did our engagement pictures, and will cover our full wedding. We have even bartered a family photo session in exchange to pressure washing her porch. Here is an example of her work, these are a few of our engagement photos.

We have an offer from a florist, I am pretty sure we are going to use her.

I am going to create a page with all of my ideas for the wedding and explain all of the different customs we are integrating into our wedding.
